Father-Son Lookalikes Compete at The Avenue

One father and son pair from Forest Hill not only share the same name, many say they share the same face.

"Everybody kept telling us we look alike," said 46-year-old Roby Bradford, flanked by his son, 20-year-old Roby Bradford Jr. On Friday evening, they attended the annual father-son lookalike contest at The Avenue at White Marsh.

They won second place and a $250 shopping spree at Avenue stores.

The elder Bradford admitted their entry may not have been as cute as some of the other teams. "Seeing all of the kids get up and sing—it was a lot of fun," he said. 

One of the more musical teams included Jeremy Hale and his young son, Joshua Hale, of Manchester. Both dressed in suits and ties.

Joshua sang "Old McDonald" before the large audience in the shopping center's courtyard—it helped score them first place and a $500 shopping spree at Avenue stores.

Hale said the competition was about celebrating the father-son relationship. "It's fun spending time with him. He's my only son with three other girls. I think we're kicking it off right."

"Now we're going shopping," he said with a laugh.
