Full Schedule for Kingsville Independence Day Parade

The Kingsville Parade begins at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, at the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company.

This year’s theme is “Proud to Be an American.”

9:30 a.m.—Parade lineup at the fire company, 11601 Bellvue Avenue.

9:50 a.m.—Bradshaw and Jerusalem roads will be closed for parade activity.

10 to 11 a.m.—Pre-parade entertainment at the triangle of Jerusalem, Bradshaw and Belair roads: Buttons the Clown; Baltimore City Pipe Band; Oriole bird; Upper Falls Dance Academy; Releve Dance; TwirlTasTix Baton; and music by Sam Deacon on electric guitar and Jim Frank on keyboard.

10:45 a.m.—Parade launches from Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company. It will proceed down Bradshaw Road for the opening ceremonies, then turn right on Jerusalem Road and end at St. Paul’s Church, 12022 Jerusalem Road.

11 a.m.—Opening ceremonies at the judges stand at the triangle of Jerusalem, Bradshaw and Belair roads. National anthem sung by Christina Massimei, accompanied by John Carroll High School marching band. Color Guard will present the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance, led by a Maryland National Guardsman.

The parade will proceed from Bradshaw to Jerusalem Road after the opening ceremonies.

Judges will evaluate the entrants in the parade for merit in several categories, from best equestrian unit to best band as well as best overall and best demonstration of American pride. Awards will be presented at the Greater Kingsville Civic Association’s July 15 meeting. See the full list of categories for judging on the Kingsville Independence Day Parade website.

Bands included in the parade are Westminster Municipal Band; Baltimore City Pipe Band; and high school marching bands from John Carroll, Havre de Grace, Edgewood, C. Milton Wright, Joppatowne, Fallston and Patterson Mill.
