Kidnapping Attempted Near Fullerton, Suspect Arrested: Police
Authorities say a man assaulted a 12-year-old girl and tried to abduct her near Fullerton over the weekend.

FULLERTON, MD — After police said a man tried to kidnap a 12-year-old girl near Fullerton, authorities alerted community members to be on the lookout Tuesday. By Wednesday morning, officials said the suspect had been taken into custody.
"Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have made an arrest in the attempted kidnapping and assault that occurred in the 4400 of Fullerton Avenue," police said in a statement Wednesday, April 7.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, police said a girl was walking in the 4400 block of Fullerton Avenue when a man assaulted her and pulled her into his car.

Police said the child escaped and flagged down a passing motorist for help.
The suspect was described as a 20-to-30-year-old slender Black man with a goatee who drives a silver Nissan Altima, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities asked for help identifying the kidnapping suspect Tuesday. Officials did not publicly identify the person who was arrested Wednesday.
