Gas Leak Closes Part of Harford Road

Part of Harford Road is closed due to a gas leak, according to Baltimore County public safety authorities.

Southbound Harford Road was closed between Cub Hill Road and Northwind Road as BGE repairs a broken gas line Friday afternoon, officials reported.

The traffic light at Harford Road and Northwind Road will be put on flash during the repair period, according to the report.

A subcontractor had been digging in the 10000 block of Harford Road at approximately 10 a.m. when a gas line was hit, the report said.

Nobody was injured, and nobody was evacuated, officials said.

There was no projected completion time for the repairs, officials said after noon. Flagging operations will be in place in the meantime.
