GM Signs Over Land for White Marsh Firehouse
The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company seeks support from the community to cover cost of construction for new station.
WHITE MARSH, MD – Elected officials and community members watched Thursday as General Motors formally signed a contract giving 6 acres of land to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company for its new fire station.
The event served as the kickoff for the fire company’s capital campaign to build the new station, which its leaders say will help first responders to serve the community better due to location and space.

Campaign cochair Les Richardson said the fire company will be looking to local businesses and residents for support in constructing the fire station near the GM plant, according to a report from the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which said the following attended the event: Assistant Chief Pries, Baltimore County Council members Cathy Bevins and David Marks, Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association President Lynn Richardson, VP of WMCCA Brian Van Poppel, community member Dorothy Hinnant and community board members Bob Rodmaka Jr., Chris Montcalmo and Les Richardson.
