Hiker Injured At Gunpowder State Park, Officials Say
A technical rescue team was dispatched to Gunpowder Falls State Park to help rescue an injured hiker.
A hiker was hospitalized after an injury at Gunpowder Falls State Park Monday afternoon, officials said. The victim, who had to be rescued from an area in the woods, was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
Crews were called to a section of the park off Jerusalem Road before 12:20 p.m, where officials said the injured hiker was on the White Trail about 1 mile into the woods.
The Harford County Technical Rescue Team was called to conduct a rope rescue, officials reported at 12:35 p.m.

By 1:45 p.m., authorities said the hiker had been rescued and was in stable condition.
