IndyCar Racer Dario Franchitti Signs Autographs at Nottingham T-Mobile

The racer plans to compete in this weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix.

Dario Franchitti required no introduction for Marshall and Candy Ridgeley at the T-Mobile autograph signing Thursday evening in Nottingham.

The husband and wife, residents of Reisterstown, are self-identified fans of IndyCar racing.

Marshall Ridgeley asked Franchitti to sign his cap, which also bears signatures from drivers Al Unser Jr. and Graham Rahal.

"It's nice. [The drivers] are all individuals. They're all nice people," Ridgeley said. "It's something you remember."

Franchitti, a Scottish driver of Italian descent, plans to compete in this weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix. Dozens of people waited in line to meet him at the Belair Road T-Mobile.

The promotional event included ticket giveaways to the Grand Prix and a message from Officer Jonathan Strickler of the Baltimore County Police Department about the on cell phones.
