Landscaper Wins Over $31K From MD Lottery

A landscaper won big money after buying a winning ticket at the Perry Hall Petro.

PERRY HALL, MD โ€” A landscaper recently won over $31,000 after taking a gamble on a horse race.

Maryland Lottery did not name the winner but did say it was a woman who won $31,311 on April 1, "thanks to horses 10, 11, and 12 on a trifecta box bet."

In a release, the firm explained that in order to win, the three horses picked for the ticket must finish in the top three spots. It can be in any order so long as it's the first, second, and third slots.

The horses selected by the woman crossed in the following order: 11, 12, and 10.

The woman does not have any specific plans for the winnings, but did indicate she would use a portion to pay some bills.

"Besides the store clerk and few close friends, she hasnโ€™t shared the news of her win with anyone," a release by Maryland Lottery states.

The Perry Hall Petro at 8809 Belair Road, where the winnings were registered, will receive a bonus of $313.11 for selling a winning ticket.
