So, what's driving the transformation at White Marsh Mall?
According to mall general manager Lisa Bisenius, "The growth is a result of the BRAC [Aberdeen Proving Ground's Base Realignment and Closure program] in Harford County, which is our trade area. Additionally, this is part of a multi-pronged strategic plan aimed at improving center shopability including reevaluating merchandising strategy and reducing customer irritants."
All of the mall's major construction work will be performed during off-hours, according to management.
Bisenius emphasized that changes to the mall are being made with the customer in mind.
"White Marsh Mall has been an integral part of the neighborhood for more than 30 years. Our goal is to enhance the shopping experience for all our customers by providing fresh and exciting merchants, restaurants and amenities," she said in a statement. "We look forward to many positive changes to our center in order to meet the increasing demands of our shoppers. But we never forget our roots and the reason that we have been around for 30 years—and that is our loyal customer."
