A back-to-school block party will be hosted by White Marsh Mall in August, featuring live music, face painting and a giveaway.
WHITE MARSH, MD — In preparation for the new school year, a back-to-school block party will be held in August at White Marsh Mall.
The event gets underway Aug. 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the first floor of the mall, near the Macy's and JCPenney. Admission is free.
Organizers said the block party will include live music, dance performances, a fashion show and back-to-school giveaway, plus a moon bounce.

Residents can also expect to see face painting, among activities for kids.
"Get ready for an unforgettable day filled with music, laughter, giveaways, and family fun! Kick off the new school year by connecting with your community and creating lasting memories," reads an announcement for the event.
