Marks: Council Approves Reduced Forge Road Widening
The resolution shrinks any future road widening from 70 feet to 50 feet.

County Councilman David Marks announced Monday that the County Council approved a resolution to reduce the planned widening of Forge Road.
Marks released the following statement to constituents by email:
I wanted to let you know that the County Council unanimously passed a resolution tonight that amends the Honeygo Plan to take 20 feet off the recommended right-of-way for Forge Road. The resolution shrinks any future width for Forge Road from 70 feet to 50 feet. In my discussions with the Department of Public Works, I have asked for a project that included no more than two lanes of traffic, and a shoulder and sidewalk on either side.

I would like to thank the Department of Public Works for its assistance. I would also like to acknowledge the input of the Perry Hall Improvement Association and the many residents of Perry Hall who contacted me regarding this project. My goal has been to improve Forge Road without taking unnecessary property and impacting the character of this part of Perry Hall.
