Maryland SPCA Celebrates 500th Pet Adoption and One-Year Anniversary; Offers Free and Reduced Pet Adoptions this Weekend
The MD SPCA celebrates the 500th pet adoption and one-year anniversary at their satellite adoption center at White Marsh Mall.

To help celebrate the recent 500th pet adoption at Project Adopt and the satellite adoption center’s one-year anniversary, the Maryland SPCA will be waiving adoption fees for cats and reducing adoption fees for kittens by half price ($50) this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“One year ago, we opened Project Adopt in White Marsh Mall to find even more pets homes,” explained Aileen Gabbey, executive director of the Maryland SPCA. “Thanks to amazing community support, more than 500 pets have found homes.”
On Saturday, at 10 a.m. the MD SPCA will be holding a community invited reception at Project Adopt where the 1st and 500th adopted pets and their families will be on hand to receive decorative pet collars with specialized ID tags. Pet will be available for adoption and cake and refreshments will be served.

The Maryland SPCA, a non-profit organization that helps provides homes for more than 3,000 pets each year is located in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore City. To find homes for even more pets, the organization opened Project Adopt in White Marsh Mall on November 16, 2013.
