MOM's In White Marsh To Celebrate Company's 30-Year Anniversary
This weekend will mark a milestone for MOM's Organic Market, and White Marsh is among the stores celebrating.

WHITE MARSH, MD — The MOM's Organic Market in White Marsh will join other MOM's grocery stores this weekend to celebrate the chain's 30-year anniversary. Tastings, family activities and local environmental groups will be on tap on Sunday, July 2, at all of the store's 17 locations.
The market is known for its organic produce, sustainable seafood and array of natural body care products.
Founder Scott Nash hand-delivered his first box of organic produce in Rockville on July 2, 1987. Since then, the concept has grown to include stores in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The White Marsh location opened in November 2016 and is known for its sustainable design, with solar panels supplying 30 percent of the store's energy. There is also a MOM's Solar Farm in Kingsville that generates renewable energy for 25 percent of the company's stores.
"I started this company out of my mom's garage in 1987 with an initial investment of $100," Nash said in a statement about the 30-year anniversary celebration. "Thanks to our customers and employees, we're celebrating this momentous day and the efforts to make the world a better place to live!"
