New School Boundaries Topic Of Perry Hall Public Hearing

What should the attendance area look like around the new elementary school in Perry Hall? The school board wants to hear from you.

PERRY HALL, MD – Where should the attendance area boundary be for the new elementary school on Joppa Road? That's the subject of an upcoming public hearing in Perry Hall.

The hearing will be on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Perry Hall Middle School. Public input is sought on proposed boundary lines for the new northeast elementary school.

Designed to alleviate overcrowding, the new school at 4816 Joppa Road is slated to open this fall. It has a capacity of 725 students.

The boundary lines will be up for a vote at the Baltimore County Board of Education's March 6 meeting.

Community members will each have three minutes to give their thoughts on the matter and may bring written copies of their remarks for the board members at the public hearing in Perry Hall. People may also email input to boepublichearing@bcps.org.

The hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Perry Hall Middle School, 4300 Ebenezer Road, Perry Hall, MD 21236. In the event of snow, the hearing will be rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22.
