Northeastern Elementary School Breaks Ground In Baltimore County
A 735-seat elementary school is closer to opening for children in Perry Hall, White Marsh, Fullerton and other neighboring areas.

PERRY HALL, MD — A new elementary school is closer to becoming a reality for northeastern Baltimore County children.
Local leaders joined for a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday on Rossville Boulevard at Gum Spring Road to mark the milestone.
Plans call for the new elementary school to open in fall 2022. It will contain 735 seats, according to Councilman David Marks, whose district includes Perry Hall.

"It will alleviate overcrowding in southern Perry Hall, White Marsh, Fullerton and other neighborhoods," Marks said, noting it is one of two new schools to be built in northeastern Baltimore County.
A new middle school on King Avenue is also fully funded, the councilman said.

Councilwoman Cathy Bevins also identified land for a trade high school in Middle River, Marks noted.
"Schools are expensive - this one costs $53 million," Marks said of the new elementary school on Rossville Boulevard at Gum spring Road. "My thanks to all our partners, including County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Councilwoman Bevins, Senator Kathy Klausmeier, Delegate Joe Boteler, Delegate Harry Bhandari, Delegate Carl Jackson, Superintendent Williams, Board member Julie Henn and her colleagues."
