Nottingham Driver Killed In FedEx Truck Crash: Officials
A Nottingham man died when he fell out of his FedEx truck and it ran him over, investigators said.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A Nottingham man died Monday when he fell under the FedEx truck he had been driving, according to authorities. Investigators said he may have suffered a medical emergency.
Ralph Calvert Ashley, 58, of Nottingham was pronounced deceased at the scene in the 200 block of Golf Drive near Perryman in Harford County, officials said.
Ashley had been driving the truck south on Golf Drive while making deliveries when he fell out of the truck, which drove 36 feet before coming to rest in the grass on the side of the road, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred around 1:38 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23. Officials said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
