Perry Hall Choir Director Selected As Miss Bel Air Independence Day

The minister of music at a Perry Hall church will lead the Independence Day parade and host other Fourth of July festivities in Bel Air.

BEL AIR, MD β€” A Perry Hall musician has been selected as Miss Bel Air Independence Day and will serve as the hostess of the Fourth of July events in the town of Bel Air.

Natalie Brosh is the organist, choir director and minister of music at Zion United Church of Christ in Perry Hall, according to a statement from the Bel Air Independence Day Committee.

She is also a music therapy major at Immaculata University in Malvern, Pennsylvania and weekly, participates in a music therapy practicum at the Royer-Greaves School for the Blind in Paoli, Pennsylvania.

While at Edgewood High School, she was elected to be the student representative for Harford County's Commission on Disabilities. A graduate of Edgewood's international baccalaureate program, she was president of its National Honor Society, captain of the varsity swim team and a member of the debate team and Christian athlete fellowship.

β€œWe were captivated by Miss Brosh’s compelling resumΓ© of accomplishments, public service, commitment to her community and hope for the future,” Bel Air Independence Day Chair and Miss Bel Air Selection Committee Chair Mike Blum said in a statement.

β€œBut most of all, we were impressed by her courage, her personality, her upbeat attitude and her enthusiasm for being a representative of our committee and our event," Blum said.

As Miss Bel Air Independence Day, Brosh will perform at each flag-raising ceremony on the Fourth of July in town, lead the parade at 6 p.m. down Main Street and give the signal to launch the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
