Kingsville Firefighters Helped Battle Fallston Blaze
The house fire caused $500,000 in damage, according to the Maryland state fire marshal.

Approximately 75 firefighters responded to a house fire in Fallston Sunday that caused $500,000 in damage, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby reported the fire in the 2900 block of Beechwood Lane at 12:58 p.m. on Sunday, the fire marshal reported.
The Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, which reported that its engine was the second to arrive at the scene, said that crews witnessed a “column of smoke” upon crossing Bel Air Road onto Sunshine Avenue.

Due to a lack of fire hydrants near the fire scene, crews used the nearby Fallston Mall as a water source to battle the fire, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
At the fire ground, the Kingsville firefighters laid out two hoses behind the house and provided water from its engine and tanker truck, the fire company reported.

It took approximately one hour to bring the blaze under control at the single-story ranch-style home, the fire marshal said.
Crews cleared the scene at 5 p.m., according to Kingsville, which reported firefighters from Harford and Baltimore counties as well as Fawn Grove, PA, assisted.
The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported that it staffed the Perry Hall fire station, as Perry Hall crews were dispatched to the Fallston fire.
The cause and origin of the fire remained under investigation Sunday evening, according to the fire marshal, who reported there were no injuries as a result of the blaze.
