Perry Hall Graduate Wins 1st National Title In 5000M Run
Maryland's Vincent Ciattei won his first career national title in the men's 5,000-meter race at the USATF Outdoor National Championship.
PERRY HALL, MD — Vincent Ciattei, a graduate of Perry Hall High School, clinched his first career national title on Sunday in the men's 5,000-meter race.
Ciattei was one of many athletes who participated in the USATF Outdoor National Championships over the weekend in New York.
While Ciattei came second in the 1,500-meter race on Saturday with a final time of 3:50.32, he took the top spot for Sunday's 5,000-meter challenge.

The Baltimore-area native's final time for the 5,000-meter was 13:46.75, just beating out California's Cooper Teare, who crossed the finish line at 13:46.88.
Celebrating his win, Ciattei took to Instagram to share that his win was dedicated to his mom, Regina. "I'm leaving here with something," he captioned his finish line photo.
