Baltimore Man Charged With Attempted Murder
Police said a Baltimore man is a suspect in a shooting in Harford County.
PERRY HALL, MD — A Baltimore man has been charged with attempted murder in the ambush of an Aberdeen man this week. Police said the victim was shot while in his car and has been hospitalized since the attack.
Robert Steven Bacote, 42, of the 2300 block of Washington Boulevard in Baltimore, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and having a handgun on his person in connection with the April 23 attack.

Bacote is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.

The 62-year-old victim is currently in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, police said Wednesday.
He was shot in the upper body while in his vehicle in the 200 block of Angus Road in Aberdeen before 5:45 a.m. on Monday, April 23.

Police said after he was injured, the victim drove the 1.2 miles to the Aberdeen Police Department on North Parke Street, where was was provided with emergency medical care by the Aberdeen Fire Department and taken to the hospital.
Officials said they think the man was targeted; he was also shot while sitting in his home in August 2016, a shooting that police said remains unsolved.
