Perry Hall Shows Appetite for Third Subway

There were naysayers, but according to store manager Rick Saini, Perry Hall's location, along Belair Road near , is doing just fine. 

A grand opening celebration, including a $5 sub promotion, coupons and giveaways (including free cookies), is planned for Feb. 1. It first opened its doors in September.

Saini does double-duty as the general manager of the newest location, as well as the , both owned by Nilam Desai. The third location in is operated separately, Saini said. 

Multiple locations can coexist within a small area because the customers of each store represent "completely different demographics," he said.

"Honeygo is new Perry Hall; Belair Road is old Perry Hall," Saini said. "We're getting more business, not taking customers away from the other location."

Perry Hall residents have, in the past, been of duplicate chain locations. The community has , , , and in pairs. A is expected to open by the spring.

But Subway customer John Mlynski said he enjoys the brand and the convenience of having another nearby restaurant.

"It's quick and easy and healthy," Mlynski said. "I eat it every day. If not here, then at work."
