Perry Hall Square Shopping Center Nears Capacity
Councilman David Marks said the oldest shopping center in Perry Hall is almost fully leased.
More businesses have been setting up shop in Perry Hall Square, where the occupancy rate has been climbing steadily, Baltimore County Councilman David Marks announced Wednesday.
Three years ago, the shopping center off Ebenezer Road was 60 percent filled, according to the councilman.
Now, Perry Hall Square owner Kimco Realty reports it is 88 percent occupied, according to Marks.Â

The newest tenant, Kumon, moved into a 2,660-square-foot space near Brunswick Perry Hall Lanes. The math and reading center opened on May 23, Marks said.Â
The shopping center has benefited in recent years from a business revitalization district designation that Marks championed. In addition, there has been a turnaround at Perry Hall Square since Giant Food opened in 2012.

“Over the past three years, we have had numerous meetings with Kimco Realty to see what we can do to spur redevelopment of this shopping center, the oldest in Perry Hall,” Marks said.  “I am pleased that this shopping center is nearly fully leased, and I look forward to further improvements."
Specifically, Marks said that he would like to see modifications to enhance the look of the shopping center.
