Are you “springing” into action? Utilize your business cultivating tools wisely. PHWMBA members are more likely to refer business to the people they know. So if your membership isn’t providing all the business you need, take a look at your level of participation. Our meetings are monthly for one to one and a half hours. They are ALWAYS on the third Tuesday of the month. Mark your schedule now, and set your alarm to remind you that our meetings are a great place to grow the seeds of new business. Contribute an article of interest to our newsletter. We’ll even put your face on the headline space, so people get to know YOU!

We hosted the first in a series of “business only” seminars on website optimizations and social media. By all accounts, our presenter, John Zimmerer, did a terrific job of defining trends, teaching the audience how to evaluate the electronic tools they use (or not) and providing many resources that we can use TODAY! Whether you are the master of your website or (in larger organizations) using the internet to cultivate your business base, I highly recommend engaging John Zimmerer and Promark Consulting to give your business a fantastic edge over the competition. An overview of the presentation is on page 11.

Our feature article on page 2 & 3 is information on a bill being presented to the County Council, des- ignating the central business area at Belair Road & Joppa Road as a revitalization district. While not a financial solution, the bill offers some very unique services to the area.
Take note: Madison Square Federal Savings Bank is having a “Shred-It” day on May 21st See page 10 for details.
