PHOTOS: Gas Tax Protesters Gain Support in Perry Hall

Charles Daniel wasn't expecting to join a political movement when he stopped at the along Belair Road in Perry Hall on Saturday afternoon.

"I'm against adding more tax to gas. [The price] is high enough as it is," Daniel said, while signing a petition during the Americans for Prosperity sponsored .

Maria Pycha, an AFP demonstrator, said she collected more than 100 signatures from local residents opposing a proposed increase in the . Revenue from the tax is intended to help fund transportation projects.

Pycha said passers by were receptive to the protest's message.

"People are angry," she said.
