Police: Suspect in Custody from Nottingham Incident

The neighborhood had been on alert while police responded to a possibly armed and suicidal person barricaded inside a home.

NOTTINGHAM, MD โ€“ Nearly three hours after police were called to Sipple Avenue for a possibly armed individual, police say the person has been apprehended.

Just before 9:15 p.m. on Monday, police reported the individual had been taken into custody.

Police were dispatched to a home in the unit block of Sipple Avenue to investigate a report of a possibly armed and suicidal individual at approximately 6:15 p.m., according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Neighbors were encouraged to shelter in place as a precaution, and specialized resources deployed to the area to keep community members safe.
