Purse Snatcher, Looney's Fight: Perry Hall Area Police Blotter

PERRY HALL, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about crimes in Perry Hall. Arrests do not equal convictions.

Four people broke into a home in the 8500 block of Manorfield Drive at 4 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30. They entered through the basement. In the burglary, they ransacked the basement and stole some items before getting picked up by a getaway driver.

An apartment was burglarized in the unit block of Kinwall Place between approximately 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27. The burglar got in through a locked sliding-glass door, stole a wallet and damaged a TV.

A woman was robbed of her purse in the unit block of Dunhaven Place. The robber took the purse from her hands, then ran away. The crime happened at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26.

One person was hospitalized after a fight in front of Looney's Pub in the 8700 block of Belair Road. Two people got into an argument outside the pub. When a third person came out, that person got into a physical fight one of those arguing. The victim was taken to a local hospital, and the suspect was arrested after the assault, which happened around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Lawn equipment was stolen from a shed in the 3300 block of Joppa Road. The burglary took place between 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, and 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27. The suspects took the master lock from the shed behind the Lawn Crew business.

Miscellaneous items were stolen from a room at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in the 8400 block of Cordon Way. Two people were suspected in the burglary, which took place on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Laptops and cell phones were stolen from Best Buy in the 5200 block of Campbell Boulevard. The burglary happened after 2:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20. The burglars broke the front door glass to get into the store.

A home was burglarized in the 3700 block of East Joppa Road between 8:15 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The resident saw a window was open, a side door was unlocked and the screen on the patio room door had been broken. Nothing else was tampered with or stolen.
