Robinson: Gunpowder Lodge Halloween Event a 'Team Effort'

President of the Perry Hall Improvement Association thanked local businesses for participating in the holiday event.

, president of the , submitted the following statement to Patch:

On Saturday, Oct. 22, Gunpowder Lodge hosted its second annual Halloween event. The free, festive and family-friendly event featured a moon bounce, face painting, gourd decorating, a costume contest, and excellent food. The Perry Hall Improvement Association was pleased to sponsor the gourd decorating table and the costume contest.

I always enjoy this type of event. It was nice to see so many Perry Hall residents interacting with neighbors, meeting people, and enjoying a community-oriented event. Although it is easy to be occupied with our own busy lives, events like this provide valuable opportunities to interact with fellow Perry Hall residents and foster a sense of community.

I want to thank Gunpowder Lodge for hosting the event and Chapel Hills Farm & Nursery for generously donating gourds for dozens of children to decorate. We are fortunate to have local businesses that recognize the value of supporting the community. I also want to thank Chris Defeo and Audrey Burn, Perry Hall Improvement Association board members who were instrumental in coordinating the Perry Hall Improvement Association's support of this event, and the volunteers who helped with the gourd decorating table: Jessica Jang, Katie Jang, Timothy Jang and Ally Paul. This event was truly a team effort!
