KINGSVILLE, MD — A handful of students fell ill at Kingsville Elementary School this week after construction work was going on at the school, according to emergency officials.
First responders came to the campus because children had headaches and felt sick on Wednesday, the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company reported.
Painters had been working at the school in the 7300 block of Sunshine Avenue, which was subsequently evacuated, officials said.

Three students were taken to area hospitals as a precaution due to issues that were not expected to be life-threatening, officials said.
"This is the second time this year we have had to respond to the school for a potential hazard inside," Kingsville fire officials said, "and the KES staff, both times, has handled the situation quickly and followed all procedures necessary to protect all students/staff."
