UPDATE: Workers Patch Ebenezer Road Sinkhole
Crews filled the hole with backfill.
UPDATE (2 p.m.)—Shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday workers patched a 3-foot sinkhole on Ebenezer Road.
Crews with the Baltimore County Public Works Department responded after the sinkhole cracked pavement and caused a traffic disruption near Perry Hall High School.
Workers blocked traffic in the area surrounding the hole, but did not close the road. Steel plates will eventually be placed on top of the backfill patch to reinforce the area, workers on the scene said.

A small amount of water appeared to seep out of the crack, running from the sinkhole to a sidewalk near the Fieldchat Road intersection, but officials could not confirm if a water main broke in the area, said Kurt Kocher, a Public Works Department spokesman.
In early February, a causing a water outage that closed Perry Hall High School.
