Snow Plow Crash Injures 3 On Belair Road: Officials

Part of Belair Road was closed for fours Wednesday due to a crash involving a snow plow.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Three people were injured in a crash involving a snow plow Wednesday afternoon north of Perry Hall, according to officials. Baltimore County emergency personnel said they were dispatched to the collision at 1:44 p.m. on Belair Road/US 1 in the area of Big Gunpowder.

As of 5:51 p.m., authorities reported that Belair Road had reopened in the area, and the snow plow crash had cleared.

Three people were hospitalized, including one who was in critical condition; all three were taken to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, officials reported.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Fox 45.

The incident occurred on southbound Route 1 before Honeygo Boulevard, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration. In the aftermath, Route 1 was closed between Honeygo Boulevard and Mount Vista Road.

After the collision, county public safety officials advised drivers to find alternate routes for the rush hour due to the investigation and cleanup. After 4 p.m., authorities reported that the right lane of northbound Belair Road was open; all other lanes remained closed. By 6 p.m., all lanes of Belair Road had reopened.
