Snow Totals: How Much Did Perry Hall Get?

New layer of snow tops weekend accumulation.

After the recent snow, the greatest amount of snowfall came in Dundalk, at 5 inches, according to preliminary numbers from the National Weather Service.

Here are the unofficial snow totals from Baltimore County for Tuesday, Feb. 17:

  • Dundalk—5 inches; reported at 10:30 a.m.
  • Essex—4.5 inches; reported at 7:18 and 7:55 a.m.
  • East Perry Hall—4 inches; reported at 8:55 a.m.
  • White Marsh—4 inches; reported at 7 a.m.
  • East Glyndon—4 inches; reported at 9:48 a.m.
  • Arbutus—4 inches; reported at 5:33 a.m.
  • Reisterstown—3.8 inches; reported at 7 a.m.
  • Northeast Rossville—3.8 inches; reported at 7:40 a.m.
  • Hunt Valley—3.5 inches; reported at 8:45 a.m.
  • Northeast Perry Hall—3.4 inches; reported at 10:34 a.m.
  • East Oella—3.3 inches; reported at 9:52 a.m.
  • Southwest Towson—3.1 inches; reported at 8:30 a.m.
  • Northwest Hereford—3.1 inches; reported at 7:46 a.m.
  • Northwest Brooklandville—3 inches; reported at 10:16 a.m.
  • Northwest Long Green—3 inches; reported at 9:31 a.m.
  • Bentley Springs—2.8 inches; reported at 6:36 a.m.
  • Parkton—2.7 inches; reported at 9:10 a.m.

Originally, officials were predicting 4 to 6 inches of snow for the Perry Hall area.

The most snow in the state was reported shortly after 9 a.m. out of Hollywood in St. Mary’s County, with 8.9 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow on Top of Snow

The latest snowfall came on top of the Valentine’s Day weekend wind-snow storm, which delivered high winds and a bit of snow in the region.

White Marsh had 2.6 inches of snow at 8:52 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, according to unofficial reports from the National Weather Service, which also said 49 mph winds were recorded in White Marsh at 12:25 a.m. on Sunday.

The most snow from the weekend storm was in Allegany County, where 5 inches was reported in Frostburg at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Parts of Howard County (Simpsonville and Columbia) had at least 4 inches, according to the unofficial reports.
