UPDATE: Storm Knocks Out Power to Traffic Signals in Perry Hall, White Marsh
Crews are working to restore power throughout Baltimore County, a BGE spokeswoman said.

UPDATE (7:17 p.m.)—A severe thunderstorm Thursday knocked out power to thousands of customers in the Perry Hall and White Marsh areas.
The Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. Current Outages map shows a high concentration of outages between Maryland Route 1 and Interstate 95, north of the Baltimore Beltway, accounting for the majority of outages reported in Baltimore County.

Linda Foy, a BGE spokeswoman, said more than 7,000 outages have been reported in Baltimore County, but she was unable to comment on the status of specific neighborhoods.
"This is rolling through central Maryland," Foy said, "It's likely that we'll see additional outages."

Local residents have reported traffic signal outages along Honeygo Boulevard in the Perry Hall-White Marsh areas. Traffic signal outages at Belair Road and Chapel Road and Silver Spring Road in Perry Hall were also reported.
"Among thousands of outages in Baltimore County, it is likely that some are affecting traffic signals," Foy said. "We do have crews on the ground working to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible."
