Tax Day 2016 Freebies and Deals: Where to Find Them

It's Tax Day on Monday, April 18—a little later than usual due to Emancipation Day, a DC holiday last week.

Whether you're celebrating Monday with a refund or trying to save a little after writing a big check to Uncle Sam, here are some businesses in Maryland that are offering special Tax Day deals.

• Noodles & Co.: Buy any entree and you'll get a free kids meal. Children must be present. You can also order online Monday and use the code TAXDAY to get $4 off your order of $10 or more. Find a Noodles.
• Bertucci’s: Use this coupon for $10 off a takeout order of $30 or more, good through Monday, April 18, 2016.
• Boston Market: Purchase a half-chicken individual meal with two sides, a regular fountain drink, cornbread and a cookie for $10.40. Find a Boston Market here.
• Buca di Beppo: Take 18 percent off your bill on April 18 with this Tax Day coupon.
• Staples: April 18 in-store only, shred 5 pounds of paper for free. Find a Staples.
• California Tortilla: Get a free order of chips and queso or salsa when you make a purchase at California Tortilla and say the secret password “Tax Man.” The Tax Day special is good only on Monday.
• Great American Cookie: Get a free cookie at participating stores on April 18.
• Hard Rock Cafe: Sing a song on the cafe stage in front of the entire restaurant at participating locations on April 18 to receive a free Legendary Burger.
• HydroMassage: Between April 18 and 22, download a coupon and schedule a free massage at Planet Fitness.
• Kona Ice: Get a free shaved ice on Tax Day. Tweet your zip code to @KonaIce to find your nearest Kona truck or search online.
• Office Depot: Visit the 2015 taxes guide for a coupon for 5 pounds of free bulk bin shredding in-store through Saturday.
• Outback Steakhouse: Take 15 percent off your check Monday with a coupon.
• World of Beers: "...we’re giving you a free select draught or $5 off your check on the REAL Tax Day this year, Monday, April 18th (you're welcome). Offer varies at participating locations."
• Wayfair: Through Wednesday, shop this online store's discounts up to 60 percent off on furniture in Wayfair’s Tax Refund Event.
