VIDEO: Oakettes Sing Love Songs at Perry Hall McDonald's
Senior center singers performed at the restaurant's annual Candlelit Breakfast, Feb. 11.
Performances by the Oakettes, a singing group out of Seven Oaks Senior Center, are known to draw large crowds to the Perry Hall McDonald's. But this year's attendance at Friday's annual Candlelit Breakfast was an all-time high, said Wanda Muse, restaurant assistant manager.
Tea lights flickered on table tops while Muse offered guests free plastic champagne glasses of "McDonald's Mimosas" (Sprite and orange juice). The breakfast, which featured heart-shaped pancakes, strawberries and chocolate sauce, began at 7 a.m. The Oakettes' show began at 10 a.m.
"This was a Valentine's celebration," said Henry King, the Oakette's music director. "We love doing it."
