WANTED: Suspect in Attempted Murder, Witness Intimidation in Rosedale Area

There is a $2,000 reward for information, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The Baltimore County Police Department is seeking help finding a man from the Rosedale area who is charged with attempted murder.

Ronald Albert Evans, 45, of the 900 block of Chesaco Avenue, is awaiting trial on charges after he allegedly opened fire at a group of juveniles off Franklin Square Drive last summer, police said.

Evans and another person were on Rossville Boulevard at Franklin Square Drive on June 27 when there was an “altercation concerning an ongoing dispute between two groups,” according to police. “During the altercation, Evans produced a gun and began firing at a group of juveniles.”

Police said that none of the youths was hit.

After being detained on attempted murder and assault charges among others in connection with the shooting, Evans posted $100,000 bail and was released, according to a statement from the Baltimore County Police Department.

Investigators learned on Nov. 30 that Evans threatened to harm witnesses in the case and issued an arrest warrant charging him with witness intimidation, the statement said.

A judge revoked Evans’ bail on Dec. 5 and issued a second warrant for his arrest, police reported.

Authorities have been unable to find Evans and are asking for help from the public.
