Water Main Break at Joppa, Cowenton, 100 Outages

A 16-inch water main broke on Thursday at Joppa Road and Cowenton Avenue, near Honeygo Village Center in Perry Hall, according to a Baltimore City Department of Public Works spokesman.

About 100 water customers, including homes and businesses, lost service as two water mains were shut down during repairs. Crews were on the scene as of 9:50 p.m., said spokesman .

"If all goes well, it should be fixed overnight," he said. "The best thing is to avoid the area until we get it fixed."
