The $150,000 project will kick off the weekend of April 10 and continue the weekend of April 17 on westbound Route 40 (Pulaski Highway) between east of Days Cove Road and Allender Road in White Marsh, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration said in a news release.

Crews will return to work on the left lane the following weekend between 9 p.m. Friday, April 17, and 5 a.m. Monday, April 20. One westbound lane will be closed for 24 hours through the weekend, and the other lane may be shifted onto the shoulder to enable the concrete to cure.
Both eastbound lanes of eastbound will remain open during the work on the westbound lanes, officials said.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, contractor crews will have temporary lane closures in effect for westbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to prepare for the weekend work.
According to officials, the work includes removing and replacing sections of old concrete pavement and test sections of new concrete pavement along the westbound within the project limits.
"The work will greatly improve safety and ride quality," officials said.
Pedestrians and motorists are urged to remain alert and avoid distractions when traveling through the work zone. Motorists should obey all posted speed limits. Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
