Weis Burglars Pinch Prescriptions: Perry Hall Crime
A rash of shed burglaries was reported around Perry Hall recently, according to police; two homes and a business were burglarized too.

PERRY HALL, MD — This week there were multiple burglaries in and around Perry Hall. The following information is from the Baltimore County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A residence was burglarized in the 500 block of Strawbridge Terrace. Police said the suspect might have gotten in through a door that was left unlocked. Several items were stolen in the burglary, which happened between 9 p.m. on May 9 and 1:30 a.m. on May 10.
Two burglars broke into the Weis market looking for meds, police said. They pried open the door to the store in the 4100 block of Joppa Road, then stole a number of bottles filled with prescription medication. Then they left in a vehicle. The burglary happened at 2:13 a.m. on May 7.

A burglar forced open the sliding glass door of a residence in the unit block of Aspinwood Way, then took several items before leaving. Police said the suspect used some sort of tool in the break-in. The burglary happened between 10 p.m. on May 6 and 7:20 p.m. on May 7.
Increase In Shed Burglaries
There's been an uptick in shed burglaries in the Parkville, White Marsh and Towson precincts, according to police.

Most of the burglaries happened in afternoon and overnight hours, and they were concentrated in the Overlea area, authorities reported.
Here are tips to avoid becoming a victim:
- Install sturdy doors and windows.
- Use locks, even when residents are home. Shackle locks and disc brake locks are effective.
- Turn lights on when it's dark.
- Engrave valuables, and write down serial numbers.
