White Marsh Lumber Company Has 2nd Fire In Month: Officials

A lumber company on Philadelphia Road was the site of a fire Sunday, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.

WHITE MARSH, MD — Firefighters handled a sawdust fire at a business in White Marsh Sunday, according to officials. It was the second time in about a month that this type of fire broke out at the facility.

Crews responded to a fire at J. Gibson McIlvain Company in the 10700 block of Philadelphia Road, where they found sawdust on fire in a hopper.

The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company sent an engine to the lumber company, officials said, to knock the fire.
