White Marsh Woman on Winning $10K from Scratch-Off: 'I'm Overjoyed'
Maryland Lottery officials say that a White Marsh woman spent $10 on scratch-off ticket, picked up $10,000 prize.

WHITE MARSH, MD — An office manager in White Marsh claimed a $10,000 scratch-off prize this week, Maryland Lottery officials reported.
"I couldn't believe it," said the winner, who was not identified by name. "I'm overjoyed."
The White Marsh resident purchased the $10 ticket from a vending machine at the Kwik Mart in the 900 block of Middle River Road in April.

She said she was in shock upon realizing she won $10,000. "I looked at it and looked at it again, and I did the math in my head," she said. "And then I did it on a calculator."
Although the White Marsh woman won in April, she said she had to wait to take time off from her job as an office manager to go to the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore City to claim her prize.

The $100,000 Gold Rush scratch-off game launched in January, with prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000.
She reportedly plans to use the prize money to pay bills.
