White Marsh Woman Wins $50K Scratch-Off Prize

The Maryland Lottery says that a White Marsh woman got a $50,000 birthday present this week.

WHITE MARSH, MD — A White Marsh woman received a birthday gift this week of $50,000. She said that her father gave her a scratch-off game as an early birthday gift, according to the Maryland Lottery.

When the 46-year-old scratched it off, she found that she was a big winner.

The winner, who has worked for the armed services for nearly 20 years, says she plans to use her winnings toward bills for furnishing her new home, since she recently moved.

She may also give some of the money to her parents, who were with her at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore when she claimed her prize.

Her father purchased the 20x the Cash scratch-off at Royal Farms on South Marlyn Avenue in Essex, which will receive $500 from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
