Woman Dies, Passenger Arrested After Kingsville Crash: Police

Police said multiple people were hospitalized and one died following a crash on Belair Road Sunday.

KINGSVILLE, MD — Police said a woman died and her passenger was arrested after her vehicle was in a multi-car crash over the weekend in Kingsville.

Kyra Miller, 27, of Baltimore, died after driving head-on into another car on Belair Road Sunday afternoon, according to investigators.

She had been taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was one of several people hospitalized following the crash on Belair Road south of Bradshaw Road, officials said.

Around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, police said Miller had been driving south on Belair Road south of Bradshaw Road when she crossed into the oncoming lane and hit a vehicle head-on.

Passengers and the driver in the car she ran into were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with injuries that authorities said were not believed to be life-threatening.

When Miller hit the car, she forced it backwards into a third vehicle, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The driver of the car that was hit by the impact also suffered injuries that officials said were not life-threatening.

Miller’s passenger ran away after the crash but was later found and arrested on an open warrant, police said.
