Woods Fire Closes Part of Reckord Road: Officials
A section of road was shut down as first responders battle field fire, Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reports.

Part of Reckord Road was shut down Monday as firefighters cleared the scene of a woods fire in the Kingsville area, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
The fire broke out in the 800 block of Petem Road before noon and was under control by 1:15 p.m., the fire company reported.
Several crews responded to the blaze, according to Joppa-Magnolia, including Bel Air, Fallston, Kingsville, Whiteford and the Department of Natural Resources.

Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company described the scene as a “large field fire,” and sent an ATV, special unit and tanker to assist.
Due to large fire engines in the area, Reckord Road was closed between Belair and Whitt roads, the Joppa-Magnolia fire company reported after 2:30 p.m.

The woods fire was located near Gunpowder State Park, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
