Cecil County Public Schools Makes Weather Decision For Dec. 11
Some workers should report on time, while students are on an altered schedule Wednesday at Cecil County Public Schools.
CECIL COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Cecil County will open later than usual Wednesday, Dec. 11. Authorities made the decision Tuesday night based on the forecast.
Snow is possible overnight into Wednesday morning, with anywhere from a coating up to an inch of accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.
"Poor visibility may impact the Wednesday morning commute," the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook for Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties.

The forecast for Cecil County calls for rain until 2 a.m., rain and snow until 9 a.m., then a chance of snow from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Less than 0.5 inch of snow is expected to accumulate, according to the National Weather Service. The high is 40 degrees and the low is 30 in Cecil County Wednesday, the forecast says.

"Due to the anticipated inclement weather, schools will open two hours late tomorrow," Cecil County Public Schools said in a statement Tuesday, Dec. 10.
"Maintenance, operations and food services employees are to report to work on time for their normal shift unless directed to do otherwise," the school system advised. "All other employees are to report to work as soon as possible given road conditions."
Harford County Public Schools also modified its schedule for Wednesday due to the potential for inclement weather.
