Cecil County Public Schools to Reopen After Snow
Students and teachers will return to school this week, Cecil County Public Schools officials say.

Cecil County Public Schools will open on time on Thursday, Jan. 28, the school system announced Wednesday.
Both students and all staff should report as scheduled, according to the announcement.
Schools across the state have been canceling classes after more than 20 inches of snow blanketed Maryland over the weekend.

Cecil County received 22 inches in Charlestown as of Sunday morning, 19.5 inches in Conowingo by Saturday afternoon and 15.3 inches in Elkton as of Sunday morning, according to preliminary data from the National Weather Service.
Staff began returning to Cecil County schools on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

The decision to return to school in Cecil County on Thursday, Jan. 28, comes hours after Harford County Public Schools gave notice that its schools would be closed for the rest of the week.
