• Speed camera could be among Reisterstown Road safety changes after bus crash (wmar2news.com) — Reisterstown Road in Pikesville could soon see a new speed camera, red light camera, and other safety upgrades after this summer's mass-casualty MTA bus crash that injured 36 people. State and county officials are working with residents and the State Highway Administration on lane narrowing, new markings, and accessibility improvements while the crash investigation continues.
   

• Maryland welcomes new state fire marshal (wvnews.com) — From his office in Pikesville, Colonel Michael A. Jackson has appointed Caroll H. Spriggs II as Maryland's new State Fire Marshal for a six-year term. Spriggs, the first African American in this role, will oversee statewide fire prevention, investigations, and code enforcement, leading an 85-person team that supports local fire safety efforts across Maryland.
