July 4th Annual Fireworks Celebration 2026: Poolesville

The Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual fireworks celebration on July 4 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Soccer Fields in Poolesville.

Gates open at 4 p.m.

In addition to the fireworks, attendees will be treated to live music and have a selection of food vendors.

The viewing area for the event will be located the intersection of Hughes and Sugarland roads. "If you are unfamiliar with the area, set your GPS to 15598 Hughes Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837," organizers said.

Supported by the UMCVFD, Town of Poolesville, and the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is held on privately-owned land and requires a $10 parking fee paid in cash.

"The Firefighter/EMTs are all volunteers donating their time and service to make this event safe and enjoyable for everyone," reads the announcement. "Revenue from parking goes directly back into the 4th of July Fireworks expense fund."

Parking is not allowed along Hughes Road.

Alcoholic beverages, open flames from barbecue grills and candles and pets are not allowed on the grounds. Any coolers brought to the event will be inspected.
