Advice from the Chief: Staying Safe at Home
Rockville Police Chief Terry Treschuk to speak at Potomac Community Village meeting.

Rockville City Police Chief, Terry Treschuk, brings his considerable law enforcement experience and sterling academic qualifications to the members and guests at Potomac Community Village’s January 21st meeting titled “Advice from the Chief: How to Stay Safe in our Homes and Community.” The meeting, which starts at 7 p.m., is free and is open to all.
Chief Treschuk will provide attendees with safety tips, alert them to scams being perpetrated on unsuspecting residents, especially seniors, and focus on driving safety and awareness.
“I will be sharing pertinent information, offering tips and advice to our citizens and answering any and all questions from the audience, particularly concerning public security and safety,” said Chief Treschuk.

Since March 1989, Treschuk has served as Rockville City’s Chief of Police. Starting his law enforcement career in Glastonbury, CT, he served that community for ten years, as well as seven years as Chief of Police in Granby, CT, prior to coming to Maryland. A lifetime member of the International Chiefs of Police, Chief Treschuk is a graduate of the FBI Academy and holds a B.Sci. from the University of New Haven and an M.Sci. in Criminal Justice Administration from the American International College. He was also an adjunct professor at four Connecticut colleges over his 17 years there.
PCV’s January 21st meeting takes place from 7-9 pm at The Bolger Center’s Franklin Building, Room F-1, 9600 Newbridge Drive, Potomac. Please use Parking Lot #1.
