The countywide crime snapshot also details robberies, aggravated assaults, and additional vehicle thefts in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton, Germantown, and Gaithersburg, offering a clear picture of recent safety concerns across nearby communities.
• Deceased Beaver Tests Positive for Rabies at Seneca Creek State Park; Officials Unable to Determine if Same Beaver Attacked 10-Year-Old Girl (mocoshow.com) — Potomac-area families using Seneca Creek State Park should know a beaver that tested positive for rabies was found near Berryville Road by the Potomac River after a 10‑year‑old camper was bitten there. A mile of trail and river access near the swimming hole is closed while wildlife teams search for other sick animals, though other park sections remain open and officials say there's no sign of a wider rabies outbreak.
