• Five Auto Thefts, Two Stolen Airbags and Gunfire at Long Branch Park Included in August 20th Crime Summary (mocoshow.com) — Two vehicle thefts were reported in the Montgomery County 1st District, which covers Rockville and Potomac, along with an armed robbery attempt in the 2nd District that includes parts of Potomac. Additional incidents ranged from stolen airbags in Silver Spring to gunfire reported at Long Branch Park and more auto thefts in Wheaton and Gaithersburg. Police emphasize this is only a snapshot of August 20 calls.
